When I write first drafts, I use pages. I'm Michelle's CP, lol.

I'm not making my 4 hours today, but I am making good progress and I sent 3 chapters to my CPs.Edie Ramerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17084144940233965447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759939674846512443.post-28331764728057963622007-01-04T16:19:00.000-08:002007-01-04T16:19:00.000-08:00Well, I had just commented on your blog, but it lo...Well, I had just commented on your blog, but it looks like blogger ate it - and it was 80 words total too!

On the upside - I just made my 100 word quota - thanks, Zoe! lol

Great advice.RK Sterlinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01034917381901499281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759939674846512443.post-49098620405533603702007-01-04T00:22:00.000-08:002007-01-04T00:22:00.000-08:00hehehe. peer pressure sucks ;)hehehe. peer pressure sucks ;)Zoe Wintershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00973184502531813905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759939674846512443.post-88371257057949750472007-01-04T00:01:00.000-08:002007-01-04T00:01:00.000-08:00I used to work in word count too, but I changed to...I used to work in word count too, but I changed to page count because all my crit partners were page count girls and I got into the habit of it :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759939674846512443.post-11186693049522826892007-01-03T23:45:00.000-08:002007-01-03T23:45:00.000-08:00Cool on the agent thing, but also eek stressful. ...Cool on the agent thing, but also eek stressful. Heh I usually go with word count instead of page numbers. I don't know why, it's some psychological payoff I'm sure. A thousand words just sounds more impressive than 5 pages. I told someone I wrote a 93,000 word manuscript and they couldn't conceptualize it until I gave them an approximate page count.Zoe Wintershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00973184502531813905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759939674846512443.post-31038009709253683412007-01-03T22:46:00.000-08:002007-01-03T22:46:00.000-08:00I started writing every day a couple of months bac...I started writing every day a couple of months back. Right now, to get my WIP out (an agent is actually WAITING for it, LOL) I'm aiming for 9 pages a day, but my natural stride is about 5 pages a day. I'm hoping the 9 pages a day over a couple of weeks will help make THAT my new natural stride.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
